Dr Wiweka Kaszubska

Dr. Kaszubska is Head of Product Development at Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) based in Geneva. She is responsible for the late-stage portfolio of molecules with demonstrated antimalarial activity and for bringing them to first stringent regulatory authority approval. Her team works in partnership with pharmaceutical organizations to bring together clinical results, appropriate formulations, and all other requirements for successful product development utilizing a cross-functional team approach. Prior to joining MMV in 2012, Dr. Kaszubska was the Head of Global Product Unit for Autoimmune and Inflammatory therapeutic area at Merck Serono in Geneva. She started her career in Discovery Research at Abbott Laboratories in Chicago in Metabolic Disease area and worked more than 25 years in the global pharmaceutical industry across all phases of drug development.  

Dr. Kaszubska holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Illinois, and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Chicago.
