Mr Palu Dhanani

Palu Dhanani is Managing Director of the Universal Corporation (UCL), a Kenyan pharmaceutical manufacturing company near Nairobi, Kenya. He founded UCL in 1996 and it has grown to produce over 100 drugs to treat HIV and malaria, as well as antipyretics, antibiotics, antifungals and antivirals. After 25 years, his company continues to play a vital role in Africa, reducing the continent’s reliance on imports in the healthcare sector; subsequently helping to create an environment of self-sufficiency particularly across central and eastern regions.
