3rd Annual PAMAfrica Consortium Meeting

PAMAfrica partners are convening for an update on the progress, status, and outlook per work package at the 3rdANnual Consortium Meeting, taking place at the margin of the 11th EDCTP Forum.

Message from Dr Eusebio Macete, Director of Mozambique Pharmacies: “On behalf of all PAMAfrica Consortium partners, I would like to welcome you to our 3rd Annual Meeting, taking place amid the backdrop of the 11th  EDCTP Forum in Paris, France. We look forward to convening and exchanging updates on the consortium work packages ahead of the final year of the grant. PAMAfrica is now well advanced and we can benefit from the Annual Meeting and ECDTP Forum as an opportunity to network, build partnerships and share the knowledge PAMAfrica projects have generated to support the global health community and encourage better healthcare interventions and outcomes in Africa.”

Annual Consortium Meeting participants will take advantage of the EDCTP Forum to gather in person at the Meridien Hotel in Paris on Tuesday, 7 November 2023.

The meeting will open with feedback from the EDCTP 4th malaria drugs oversight committee (OC) meeting, and share perspectives for PAMAfrica’s last year, as well as its contribution to the malaria elimination agenda.

Presenters will provide updates of the various Work Packages, and the WP4 update will feature a presentation from three PAMAfrica students on their thesis topics and how they see their futures, as well as a panel discussion with all PAMAFrica students, who will be on hand to participate in the EDCTP Forum.

The meeting will be followed by a joint PAMAfrica-SINDOFO lunch and the next day, Wednesday, 8 November, PAMAfrica students will have the opportunity to meet with senior consortium researchers during an informal evening get together.
